IMPACT

Building a Network of Belonging

Since 2015, Pollyanna has been making meaningful and measurable strides toward fulfilling our mission of Building Stronger and Kinder Communities.

What began as a vision for helping schools and organizations come together with greater courage, connection, and care has grown into a national network of communities committed to learning, reflection, and action. Along the way, Pollyanna has created spaces where people can engage honestly, strengthen relationships, deepen understanding, and move their communities forward with greater clarity and purpose.

We are proud of the many ways we have fostered connection, engagement, and belonging since our founding, and of the individuals and institutions who have been part of that journey.

Below is a closer look at the impact we have made, the communities we have reached, and the work we continue to build together.

Since 2015, 20,000 people have attended a Pollyanna Conference, including Multi- and Intra- School Conferences. The ideas, actions, and outcomes generated in these gatherings form the heart and soul of Pollyanna’s mission of building more inclusive communities.

Since 2019, over 12,000 teachers and administrators have downloaded the free K-12 Racial Literacy Curriculum in order to equip students with the skills to help build a more equitable and just world.

Since 2020, the Pollyanna Teen Council has hosted over 30 meet-ups on Zoom for 13 to 18 year old students from around the country featuring leaders from the worlds of education, business, the arts, and social justice movements.

Since 2018, Pollyanna has conducted 2,100 of workshops for thousands of educators, students, parents and trustees to create positive change in communities, enhancing racial literacy knowledge, and supporting inclusive and equitable practices.
