About Pollyanna
What is Pollyanna?
Pollyanna is a nonprofit organization that partners with schools, nonprofits, and organizations across the country to help Build Stronger and Kinder Communities. Through conferences, workshops, assessments, leadership development, and youth programming, we create spaces for reflection, learning, and action.
Why is the organization named Pollyanna?
The name Pollyanna was chosen with great care. While some people associate it with simple optimism, for us it represents something deeper: the choice to look for what is possible, even in the face of challenge. It reflects our belief that stronger, kinder communities are built through hope, honesty, and the willingness to keep moving toward something better.
Working With Pollyanna

We work closely with each school or organization to understand its goals, culture, and needs. From there, we design experiences that are thoughtful, tailored, and actionable, whether through conferences, workshops, assessments, leadership seminars, or ongoing partnership.
What services does Pollyanna offer?
Pollyanna offers Multi-School and Intra-School Conferences, Leadership Seminars, in-person and virtual workshops, Community Assessments, and the Pollyanna Teen Council. Each offering is designed to strengthen connection, deepen understanding, and support meaningful growth.
What does it cost to work with Pollyanna?
Costs vary depending on the type and scope of engagement. We work with schools and organizations to find the right fit for their goals and resources, and we are always happy to discuss options.
Programs & Community
How do Pollyanna’s Community Assessments work?
Pollyanna’s Community Assessments help schools better understand the experiences, perspectives, and needs of their community. Through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis, we help schools identify strengths, surface challenges, and gain practical recommendations for growth.
What is the Pollyanna Circle Membership?
The Pollyanna Circle Membership is a year-long opportunity for schools to engage in sustained learning through 20 live virtual workshops and on-demand recordings. It gives your community ongoing access to expert-led sessions, practical tools, and a broader network committed to Building Stronger and Kinder Communities.
What is the Pollyanna Teen Council?
The Pollyanna Teen Council brings together thoughtful, engaged young people ages 13–18 from across the country for monthly virtual gatherings centered on leadership, connection, and meaningful dialogue. It is a space where teens can learn from inspiring guests, share their perspectives, and explore how they can help shape stronger and kinder school communities.
My child’s school is partnering with Pollyanna. What should families expect?
Families can expect a thoughtful and intentional approach that supports the entire school community. Our work helps students and adults strengthen relationships, communicate more effectively, and contribute to a healthier, more connected school culture.
